General:
Each property concerned is offered only for holiday purposes on a weekly self-catering basis, usually Saturday to Saturday, unless otherwise stated subject to the following Terms and Conditions. On receipt of the balance payment, the property will be made available from 4pm on the date of arrival (or at the time and date agreed in advance) and the hirer and their families or guests are required vacate it by l0.00 am on the departure date stated. Please note that the brochure prices are correct at the time of printing but may be subject to change (up to the time of booking) and do not necessarily infer availability.
Equipment, Linen etc. included:
Each property is furnished and equipped to cater for the stated permitted occupancy and includes all facilities, cutlery and crockery etc., and items of domestic equipment as listed in individual property descriptions. To help keep costs down the central heating provided morning and evening up to 10 hours is normally more than adequate (24hrs extra on request). Bedding (pillows, blankets, duvets) and linen is also included but not towels unless otherwise stated/arranged when booking.
Booking your Holiday:
To book a property, please use the booking line telephone number or e-mail address to check availability. Once you have made your provisional reservation, a booking form will be sent to you. Please return it to us within 5 days with the initial deposit /amount concerned to confirm the booking. The balance is payable no later than eight weeks prior to commencement of the holiday. If you are booking within eight weeks of the start of your holiday, payment is required in full with your booking form. Directions and details regarding cottage keys are issued on receipt of the final payment. No VAT is applicable.
Cancellation:
Please note that, once a booking has been confirmed, you are liable for the whole cost of the holiday. However, in any event, we will endeavour to re-let the property and, if successful, we will refund the amount recouped, less an administration charge of up to £25 depending upon the circumstance. Accordingly, it is important that cancellations are intimated to us by telephone and immediately and confirmed in writing.
Availability:
If for whatever reason the property cannot be made available for the period booked due to events beyond the Owners' control and the Owners are forced to cancel the booking, the whole of the hire charge will be refunded and the Client will have no further claim against the Owners.
Insurance:
In all circumstances clients are strongly advised to take out Holiday Cancellation Insurance, details of which are normally included with the brochure sent. Pets:
Generally, pets are mostly welcome at our properties (except Tigh na Coille) subject to our prior agreement in writing. Hirers should note the accommodation arrangements in the Cottages Information Leaflet provided pertaining to pets which must be strictly adhered to at all times.
Damage Sureties:
In addition to the weekly tariff a (separate) damage deposit of £25.00 is required prior to the commencement of each holiday letting. Cheques are either destroyed or returned, as preferred, less the cost advised making good any damage or loss to the property (other than what could be reasonably regarded as fair wear and tear), or excessive cleaning found necessary following the period of occupation concerned.
Booking Payments:
Payment can be made by cheque (sterling) to Colin Deans/Cottages including most Debit Cards or, alternatively, by credit card (VISA or MasterCard) subject to a Bank surcharge of 2.3%.
Group Bookings:
The Hirer will be responsible for each cottage booked and must provide the owner with the names of all occupants before access will be granted. The Hirer must also ensure that any equipment or furniture moved between cottages is returned to their original places at the end of each stay and the property and its contents left in a clean and tidy condition.
